All children are expected to have a full PE Kit for PE lessons. For indoor PE this must consist of house colour T-shirt, with dark blue or black nylon short or navy/black pleated games skirt. Children undertake indoor P.E. in bare feet.

When undertaking outdoor PE, kit may be supplemented with a jog suit or a track suit during colder months. Children will need plimsolls or trainers for outdoor games.

 

In order to participate fully in lessons - a compulsory subject under the National Curriculum - pupils should have their kit in school during the week.  To encourage pupils to be equipped for PE lessons, we operate a sanction system.  Starting this year, pupils will receive a detention if they forget their kits three times in a half-term. Teachers and sports coaches have a check-list and will be monitoring kit each lesson.

 

You will receive a reminder if your child has not had their full kit on two occasions.  While wanting our pupils to be independent and responsible for bringing in their kit, we would appreciate your support in ensuring they have the appropriate clothing in school at the beginning of the week.  The office staff are not able to phone home for forgotten PE Kits.
